Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney says he wants to score at least 20 goals next season.
The Englishman will be deployed in the central forward position by boss Louis van Gaal and will be hoping to improve on his tally from last year.
He last featured as a main striker in the 2011-12 campaign, scoring 34 goals in 43 games for the Red Devils.
"I hope to score 20 or more goals again," Rooney said ahead of tomorrow's International Champions Cup match against San Jose Earthquakes.
"If I'm playing as a striker, then I will be disappointed if I can't do that again.
"I've played different roles over the years for United but you only have to look when I play for England as a striker I score goals."
