Manchester United are ready to offer £22m to sign Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, according to Calciomercato.it.
The 29-year-old was already a target for the Red Devils when at Lazio but he opted to move to Turkey when he left the Italian club in the summer of 2011.
But with David De Gea all set to depart for Real Madrid, boss Louis van Gaal wants to act quickly and replace the Spaniard before the start of next month.
Meanwhile, former Galatasaray defender Tomas Ujfalusi says Muslera would be a good signing for the Red Devils.
"I believe Manchester United are also interested in signing him," Ujfalusi told Turkish paper Bugun.
"If De Gea joins Real Madrid then Muslera could be their first choice.
"In my opinion he will be very successful at Manchester United."
