Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has rubbished rumours that he is very close to joining Real Madrid.
The 24-year-old enjoyed a very positive campaign at Old Trafford last season and is a target for the Spanish giants according to reports in Italy and Spain.
But he rejected claims that he will leave the club.
"I have to return to Manchester for pre-season," he told Spanish television channel Cuatro.
On Sunday, former Atletico Madrid defender Tomas Ujfalusi declared that the other half of Madrid will not forgive the Spaniard if he joins Real Madrid in the summer.
"No, no, no, they [the Atletico Madrid fans] are not going to forgive him [if he joins Real Madrid], for sure," Ujfalusi is quoted as saying by Metro.
"It's not going to be easy for him to make this decision.
"It's also a surprise for me because he's an Atletico Madrid fan – when he was young his heart was with Atletico Madrid."
