Manchester United are negotiating a deal to land Benfica winger Nico Gaitan.
A target also for Chelsea, the 27-year-old has been continuously linked with a move to Old Trafford with reports claiming at the start of the month that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs.
But agent Jose Irribaren says negotiations are ongoing and that an agreement is yet to be reached between the Red Devils and his client.
"Everything is possible," Irribaren told Antena 1.
"There is a negotiation which is pending with Manchester United.
"The will of the player is that everything runs as smoothly as possible.
"We are awaiting a response."
