Ex-Bayern Munich midfielder Mark van Bommel believes new Manchester United signing Memphis Depay might struggle to settle down in the English Premier League but has the best possible mentor in boss Louis van Gaal.
The youngster joined from PSV Eindhoven after scoring more than 20 goals this season and is considered by many as one of the finest talents in European football.
He already played under van Gaal for the Dutch national team and will join United's fast-growing list of Dutch players at the club.
"Memphis has proven himself as a valuable player for PSV in the past season," van Bommel told the club's official website.
"His 22 goals in the national league significantly contributed in winning the championship.
"Although he has great potential, we still have to be patient. The level of the Premier League is different but, under the supervision of Louis van Gaal, he should be able to adjust."
