Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal will again have plenty of cash to spend in the summer according to striker Robin van Persie.
The Red Devils spent more than £150m last summer to sign the likes of Luke Shaw, Falcao, Ander Herrera, Angel Di Maria and Marcos Rojo but failed to challenge for the title.
And van Persie believes this summer's transfer window will follow the same pattern as last season's.
"United spent £200m on players last year and they are going to spend another £200m this summer," van Persie is quoted as saying by The Daily Star:
"We will have a team that can compete for the title."
van Gaal was very satisfied after his first season in charge but believes new signings are a must if United are to challenge for the Premier League crown next season.
"The board of Manchester United shall say now we have to battle for the championship," van Gaal said two weeks ago.
"The board has hired me to win the title and my CV says that.
"It's a fantastic challenge, but it depends on how we can purchase very good players and how we can improve our balance in our selection
"We need two players in every position and then they can perform more easily."
