Manchester United target Gareth Bale to stay at Real Madrid

By

Midfielder Gareth Bale will not leave Real Madrid in the summer.

Heavily linked with a possible move to Manchester United, the 25-year-old admits that he needed time to settle down in the Spanish Liga and that he is already looking forward to next season.

"Of course, yes [I'm staying]," he told The Sun.

"I'm a Real Madrid player and I'll carry on as normal. I am enjoying it and hopefully I can continue to.

"I feel settled. I'm looking forward now to playing and winning more trophies.

"My goal is to keep improving, performing and to win as many titles as I can.

"Playing for Madrid is a learning curve for me. I'm still getting used to being at such a big club.

"It has been a great experience in good or bad times. Personally I've enjoyed it.

"Maybe I haven't scored as many as I would have liked. It's something for me to work on in the off season to get my finishing a bit better."
