World Cup winner is Manchester United's main summer target

By

Manchester United have reportedly made Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger their number one transfer target, Metro reports.

The 30-year-old is reported to be ready to leave the German Bundesliga to join a Premier League team and the Red Devils are ready to make a move.

Last month, the midfielder made it clear that his objective was to recover from a number of injuries that affected him this season and that he is now looking forward to next season.

"I am in no hurry to renew," Schweinsteiger told Kicker magazine.

"It is not something that bothers me because I have a year left before it expires. The important thing is that my physical problems and injuries are resolved. The rest will follow."
