Manchester United are leading the race to sign Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
According to the Daily Star, a senior Manchester United figure confirmed that the Red Devils are interested in the 25-year-old although they are still negotiating with Southampton.
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested but the midfielder made it clear that he will only leave the Saints to feature in a club that qualified for next season's Champions League.
"The goal is to stay in England," Schneiderlin told After Foot RMC.
"It is a championship that I like and where I have a lot of fun. If I leave Southampton, it is for a club that plays better than the Europa League.
"There are ongoing discussions but nothing is done. But of course the Champions League is my goal. If I leave Southampton it will be for a club in the Champions League."
Former Arsenal striker and Sky Sports pundit Alan Smith believes the Gunners should make a move considering the fee the Saints are asking for the Frenchman.
"You could buy Petr Cech for £10m, which isn't big in terms of the fee," Smith told Sky Sports News HQ.
"You can buy players that can make a difference, like Morgan Schneiderlin, who is available for £25m for Arsenal these days, when you look at how much they paid for Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil."
