Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal says the 1-1 draw away at Stoke is a "fair result".
It is United's second consecutive draw after the goalless draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
"I think it was a fair result as neither side deserved more than a point," van Gaal told MUTV.
"Maybe Stoke deserved it a little bit more than us, they came close when they hit the post. In spite of the space and time Stoke gave us, we didn't create so much."
van Gaal was delighted with his side's first half against Spurs last week but was not happy with the overall performance against the Potters.
"I think our team spirit is always very good, you could see that today. But our performances have to be better," added the manager.
"When you get a lot of space and time, you have to play at a higher tempo.
"Our build-up play wasn't great and our last pass wasn't always good. Certainly, our crosses weren't always good. If that's the case, you can't create any goals.
"When you want to win the league you have to win away from home, and at the minute we aren't doing that.
"We aren't losing, but we aren't winning either. If you want to be a champion, you have to win these games."
Asked to predict for how long winger Ashley Young will be out, the Dutchman said: "He has a hamstring injury. He's out for many weeks I think.
"But I'm not a doctor so we have to wait for tomorrow or the day after tomorrow."
