Manchester United have beaten Real Madrid and Manchester City in reaching an agreement with Monaco for Radamel Falcao.
According to respected South American journalist Saris Bello, the Red Devils agreed to pay £51m for the striker who will sign a four-year contract on Monday.
Arsenal, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Juventus have all been linked with a possible move for the Colombia international with Bello believing that the Citizens opted out of the race due to the financial fair play rule.
With strikers Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck both set to be loaned out, the 28-year-old would team up with Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie in what would be one of the Premier League's best forward lines of the season.
Always according to reports, Monaco will replace the striker with Tottenham Hotspur's Roberto Soldado.
