Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini was delighted after his side eased past Crystal Palace by 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.
With Arsenal in action on Sunday, the Citizens moved closer to the top of the table, much to the delight of their manager.
"Was it comfortable? No because you never know in this game," Pellegrini told BBC Sport.
"The first half, the two goals gave us more space as they've had to go for the draw. That allowed us to use that space and score two more.
"It was a start of two teams that played in midweek. We had to refresh the team as we had less than 72 hours and that is not enough to recover.
"I'm very happy with his [Fabian Delph's] performance. He had bad luck at the start of the season with different injuries. He has settled down now and he makes a good work ethic and gives us good build up."
