Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini says four senior players will not be in the squad to face Watford on Saturday afternoon.
The Citizens enjoyed a phenomenal start to the new season and will be determined to add three more points before the international break.
But they will be forced to do it without Wilfried Bony, Pablo Zabaleta, Fernando and Gael Clichy.
"Unfortunately Bony had a cut on his leg yesterday, so he is not able to play tomorrow. I think after the international break he will be ready so he will be out around 7-10 days," Pellegrini told reporters.
"For tomorrow we have three young players in our squad, because we have a few players who are injured so we have Pablo Maffeo, Patrick Roberts and Kelechi in the squad list.
"I hope Fernando will be fit again during the international break. For Clichy, I do not know exactly because I am not a doctor but around 6-7 weeks, and Pablo will be out for about a month with a his ligaments.
"I told all the players that we must talk about the Champions League draw after they come back from the international break.
"We must understand that to play against Watford is the same as against Chelsea, Arsenal or Manchester United. All of them are in the Premier League and if you play with less intensity then everything can go wrong, so it is important to continue playing in the same way as we have been and not to make the same mistakes as we did last year."
