Dieter Hecking: No Arsenal or Manchester City move for £40m star

By

Wolfsburg manager Dieter Hecking is confident striker Kevin De Bruyne will not leave the club during the summer transfer window.

Manchester City are ready to offer £40m to secure the services of the player according to reports, with Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain also showing interest.

But Hecking is convinced that the Belgium international will continue at the Volkswagen Arena.

"We have many interesting players, that is the curse of our success," he told reporters after the German Supercup win.

"But Kevin noticed again what we can achieve with this team in the next season.

"We don't want to sell him. I can understand his statements [about being uncertain over his future], but I expect him to stay."
