Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini was delighted after his side's 4-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur.
It was striker Sergio Aguero who stole the show in what was a frenetic afternoon at the City of Manchester Stadium with the 26-year-old scoring four and missing a penalty as the Citizens consolidated their second place in the table.
"It's a very good victory for us," Pellegrini said.
"It's always difficult to come back from the international break. We played well, we scored four goals and I don't know how many chances we had.
"I said before this game and now that in Sergio we have one of the three or four best strikers in the world.
"It's not easy for him when he had so many injuries in the last part of the season to perform like he did today.
"But I think this year we prepared him very well.
"In the first three games he didn't start, he was just involved for 30 or 40 minutes but now he's 100 per cent fit and he's working the whole week as normal.
"He decided the first title here with Manchester City, last year he was very important when he was fit and I hope this year he will fight to be one of the best players in the world.
"We must now start to think about Champions League.
"We are going to Russia [to face CSKA Moscow on Tuesday] to try to win. For me it's a good pressure to win all the games when you have a good team. We made five or six changes. I trust a lot in this squad."
