Former Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic rubbished rumours about a possible return to Italy after declaring he will stay at Manchester City.
Linked with a possible move to Inter Milan, Roma or Juventus, the 24-year-old is quoted as saying by Sky Sports that his objective is to enjoy an injury-free season with Manuel Pellegrini's side.
"I don't want to speak about last year, because I have said so many times what happened," the Montenegro international said.
"I just want to look to the future.
"I am happy to be here and I know that I am going to be an important player for this club and I am happy to be a part of this team."
The striker could only manage 6 goals in 18 appearances for the Citizens last season but is determined to increase his amount during this season.
"Of course, I am expecting so much from me this season, I expect to score so many goals," added the striker.
"We have a very good team. There is great competition for places with Edin and Sergio and Alvaro.
"They are all there and we have to do our best and at the end, who is the best in that moment will play."
