Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood has again confirmed that striker Christian Benteke is not for sale.
The Belgium international is a target for a number of top Premier League clubs with Liverpool ready to offer £32.5m to secure the services of the 24-year-old.
But Sherwood says the striker will stay put.
"We want Christian here," he is quoted as saying by Express Sport.
"We want to keep our best players and Christian is certainly one of those."
Arsenal and Chelsea are also reported to be interested with former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour believing that Benteke would be an exceptional signing for the Gunners.
"He is powerful, strong, robust and good in the air, which is something that would enhance Arsenal's attacking options," Parlour told the Daily Star last month.
"I would love to see him at Arsenal, I really would.
"Sherwood has done well to get the best out of Benteke.
"At the time he came in he couldn't score a goal, he wasn't even getting close to scoring a goal.
"It will be interesting to see what he does because he might be excited about Tim Sherwood next year."
