Liverpool are determined to get back on track after a disappointing season and are ready to make a move for free agents James Milner and Danny Ings.
Milner, 29, is heavily linked with a move away from Manchester City although boss Manuel Pellegrini believes there is a possibility to keep the player ahead of next season.
"James said he was taking the decision at the end of the season," Pellegrini is quoted as saying by Express Sport.
"He is a very important player and he gave us a lot of spirit in this year but he must decide what is better for him."
He added: "I think the only player that said goodbye was Frank Lampard."
Danny Ings is also an interest for David Moyes at Real Sociedad.
