Boss Brendan Rodgers says Liverpool's objective against Chelsea this weekend will be to take all three points from Stamford Bridge.
The Reds are four points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester United with three games left.
And the Northern Irishman insists a win is a must if they are to keep the pressure on the Red Devils ahead of the last few games of the season.
"We're going into the game at the weekend looking to win," Rodgers said.
"Chelsea are obviously deserved champions, they've been the best team, but all we can do is control the last three games, look to win those and see where we end up. I'm purely focused on the game.
"I congratulated [Jose Mourinho]. They're the deserving champions and to win it with a few games to go is obviously pleasing for him.
"But it doesn't take away from what we're looking to do and we want to finish the season strong.
"We played well in the [League Cup semi-final] game at Chelsea but hopefully this time we can play well and get the result.
"I think Chelsea's days off [this week] are absolutely irrelevant to us and our preparation. Our job is to go there and look to get a result that can keep the pressure on [United]."
