Daniel Agger is ready to return to his home country Denmark, according to the Daily Mail.
The Danish side are ready to offer £3m to sign the 29-year-old who would make a comeback to the club with whom he started his senior career.
Asked about on going negotiations, Brondby CEO Jesper Jorgensen confirmed the two clubs are discussing the transfer of the defender.
"Brondby can confirm that there is dialogue with Liverpool FC and Daniel Agger about a move to Brondby," said Jorgensen.
"If the club manage to sign Daniel Agger during the next few days, the financial effect of the profit will be limited."
Jorgensen however did not disclose any information on when the player will be officially announced as a Brondby player.
"Brondby IF have no further comments on speculation about Daniel Agger," the CEO said.
