Chelsea have agreed personal terms with Laurent Blanc to take over from Antonio Conte, according to reports in Italy.
The club is also talking to Maurizio Sarri and Slavisa Jokanovic but the Frenchman looks to be favourite.
An official announcement could be made by the Blues before the end of the week.
Chelsea are yet to sign new players this summer as they have to first decide who will be in charge of the club.
The future of Antonio Conte remains unclear.
Recent reports have claimed that he is on the list to take over from Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.
But former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and Joachim Loew have also been linked with the position.
