Chelsea will this week announce the transfer of midfielder Lewis Baker, Goal.com has claimed.
The 22-year-old is wanted by Middlesbrough, Reading, Birmingham City as well as Aston Villa.
He asked the club to be loaned out for two seasons hoping that the system will work as it did for Andreas Christensen who made important progress at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Baker started out his career with Luton before joining Chelsea in 2005.
He made 30 appearances for the Under-18s during the 2011/12 campaign and was pivotal to Chelsea's 2012 FA Youth Cup victory.
In recent years, he was loaned out to Sheffield Wednesday, Milton Keynes Dons and Vitesse.
