Juventus and Chelsea target Steven N’Zonzi has informed Sevilla that he wants to leave the club, according to Calciomercato.com.
The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with the Serie A champions with reports claiming last month that the player agreed personal terms to join the Bianconeri.
But the Blues are determined to make a late move to secure the services of the Frenchman.
The player already possesses Premier League experience having played for Blackburn and Stoke City.
He became one of the strongest defensive midfielders in the Spanish Liga since joining Sevilla in the summer of 2015.
It seems Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has identified the 28-year-old as the one to take over from Nemanja Matic in midfield.
Matic has been linked with a move to Manchester United and could complete his move to Old Trafford before the end of the month.
