Chelsea want to sign Sergio Aguero from Manchester City, Sky Sports has confirmed yesterday evening.
The Blues have been linked with a number of world class strikers this summer but they are yet to strengthen their offensive department.
Romelu Lukaku, Alvaro Morata, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Andrea Belotti have all been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
Diego Costa will certainly leave the club especially after yesterday's video in which he was wearing an Atletico Madrid jersey.
And manager Antonio Conte wants to sign at least two strikers before the end of the transfer market.
But when asked if Aguero was staying in May, City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said: "Absolutely. There's never been a doubt about that. I've read a lot of the speculation on this and it's ridiculous.
"Sergio Aguero is one of the best players in the world. We are a team that aspires to win every competition we compete in.
"Having Sergio Aguero as part of the squad is an absolute must. It has never been in doubt."
