The news that Thibaut Courtois' agent has held a meeting with Real Madrid has come as a shock to Chelsea fans.
The Blues have already sold Asmir Begovic to Bournemouth and it would be a big headache for manager Antonio Conte if he ends up with only Willy Caballero and Eduardo Carvalho in his team.
But what did Christophe Henrotay say exactly?
"Of course Thibaut is of interest to the big clubs, including the latest Champions League winner," he told Sport Foot.
"He's someone who helps you win games, titles. I meet regularly with those in charge at Real Madrid, and Thibaut's case has come up.
"My role is to keep him updated on the situation."
Henrotay did not specify that the Spanish giants are ready to make a move but they are monitoring the situation.
Los Blancos dominated last season but Keylor Navas was far from convincing and manager Zinedine Zidane is eager to sign a world class goalkeeper this summer.
Conte, on the other hand, knows that finding a solid goalkeeper is not as easy as placing bets on betting sites such as Netbet where one can get great offers for wagering on upcoming football transfers.
One of the reasons why the Blues went on to win the title last season is the Belgian's impressive saves like the one he produced against Sunderland at the end of last year.
The Belgium international has established himself as first choice at Stamford Bridge and the Italian manager has no reason to sell him during this summer's transfer window.
Recent reports have claimed that the 25-year-old has rejected a first contract offer made by the Blues but the two parties are expected to meet soon to continue negotiations.
For now, the Blues have added in Willy Caballero an experience goalkeeper who already possesses plenty of Premier League experience.
But the Argentine is not one to rely one when you want to retain the Premier League title and have your say in the Champions League.
