Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has confirmed that he wants to sign Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma.
The 22-year-old is expected to leave Stamford Bridge on loan this summer.
Hughes says the player knows of Stoke City's interest but must act quickly because the club is also monitoring other players.
"There is genuine interest. We'd like to make it happen if we can," Hughes told the Stoke Sentinel.
"The boy himself has to make a decision. We are one of many interested parties but we're very hopeful. We're still doing a number of deals."
The Frenchman knows that securing a regular place in Antonio Conte's squad will not be easy next season.
And recent reports have claimed that he will certainly be loaned out before the end of the summer transfer window.
