Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is "really, really, really frustrated" for the way the club has moved in the transfer window.
European football expert Julien Laurens believes that Tiemoue Bakayoko and Romelu Lukaku were two players the Italian wanted but the former is yet to sign and the latter joined Manchester United.
The Blues have signed Willy Caballero and Antonio Rudiger.
But it's clearly not enough to be competitive next season.
"Antonio Conte is starting to get really, really, really frustrated," he said on ESPN FC.
"Last summer, his first summer at the club, it was already the case. The players he wanted never arrived.
"When David Luiz signed on the last day of the transfer window in August it was because before that Koulibaly from Napoli didn't sign, because Bonucci from Juventus didn't sign, they were the first two options.
"In January it was similar, he wanted [Fernando] Llorente from Swansea, they didn't make it. Again, this summer is the same.
"He wants Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco and it's dragging on, dragging on and dragging on. He wanted Lukaku, but he's not getting him.
"He's got Antonio Rudiger but again that was not his first choice. He wanted Koulibaly or Bonucci before him as well.
"They were all too expensive or the club didn't think they were better choices than Rudiger."
