Chelsea have made contact with Torino to negotiate the transfer of striker Andrea Belotti from Italy to England.
Transfer market expert Tancredi Palmeri has claimed on his Twitter account that the Blues want to know more about the situation of the Italian.
The 23-year-old has an £88million buy-out clause with Torino determined not to sell for less.
The Italy international is also a target for Jose Mourinho's Manchester United.
Last week, Torino president Urbano Cairo declared that no club has made an approach to sign the player.
"We have a contract until 2021, so if he should remain, it would not be a 'gift' but with us a long relationship," Cairo told Sky Sport Italy.
"It is clear that it is important for him to remain happy, as I hope he will stay with us, we will talk about it soon.
"Other teams, I have not had any contact with anyone, not with PSG nor with Manchester United, nor with Milan."
