"He's just one step away" - Antonio Conte's No. 1 priority will sign for Chelsea next week

By

Italian newspaper La Stampa has claimed this morning that defender Alex Sandro is Antonio Conte's number one priority for the summer and is one step away from joining the club.

According to the article, the Brazil international has been offered an important contract to join the Premier League.

The Blues have made a £60million offer to the Bianconeri but so far the Serie A champions have replied with a "not for sale" comment.

Director Giuseppe Marotta wants to keep the player at the club and is ready to offer him a new contract to keep him at Juventus until 2022.

But reports in England have claimed that the 26-year-old wants to embark on a new experience in the Premier League and could join as early as next week.

Chelsea are yet to sign any players this summer but a number of players are expected to be announced between July 1 and July 7.
