Chelsea have joined the race to sign Cristiano Ronaldo after Roman Abramovich made it clear he wants to have him at Stamford Bridge next season.
The Sun has claimed that the Blues owner wants to sign the Portugal international to keep manager Antonio Conte at the club.
It is however very difficulty for the Blues to secure the services of the Real Madrid man.
Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon declared last week that the player's heart is already at Manchester United.
"I remember when I signed Cristiano, he phoned me and said everyone at Manchester United was really happy and kind to him," he told the Sun.
"Sir Alex Ferguson was like a father and he loved the fans.
"The club has been very important in his career. Manchester United is a club he has in his heart."
