Chelsea are on the verge of making a £42million offer to sign Roma defender Kostas Manolas, the Daily Star has claimed.
The article claims that he is at the top of Antonio Conte's summer transfer list.
The Greece international established himself as one of the strongest defenders in the Serie A since his move from Olympiakos.
Reports in Italy have also claimed that FC Zenit Saint Petersburg are interested in the 26-year-old.
On Friday, his agent - Ioannis Evangelopoulos - declared that the player's wish is to continue in the Serie A and opted not to comment on reports claiming he is wanted by the Blues.
"There is a valid contract with Roma until 2019," Evangelopoulos told TuttoMercatoWeb.
"Kostas wants to play well in a Roma jersey.
"As for renewing his contract, at the moment I do not know. I can't respond to that question.
"But I should say that he is happy in Rome.
"[If Chelsea made contact?] I'd rather not comment."
