"You will be my No. 1 striker" - Antonio Conte wants £102million star to lead his offensive department

By

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has told striker Romelu Lukaku that he will be the main man in his offensive department next season if he joins the club.

Transfer expert Emanuele Giulianelli has revealed on Twitter that the Italian manager already made personal contact with the Belgium international.

Lukaku will certainly leave Everton this summer with a number of top European clubs all eager to sign him.

Yet last week, he declared that he already knows where he will play his football next season.

"I don't want to stay at the same level. I want to improve and I know where I want to do that," he said.

"We are now talking to the club. I know what's happening, but I will leave the talks to my agent.

"I know what's happening, but I can't tell you anything more.

"What I would like most is to play in the Champions League and try to win the Premier League once. Or better - a few times."
