Chelsea will make a £56million offer to sign Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci in the coming days, football expert Tancredi Palmeri has tweeted.
The defender will become manager Antonio Conte's first summer signing if he accepts to move to Stamford Bridge.
It is not the first time the Italy international has been linked with the Blues, reports last summer claimed that he was a main target for Conte but the two clubs failed to reach an agreement.
With John Terry leaving the club and Kurt Zouma struggling with injuries, Chelsea are in desperate need to strengthen the defensive department ahead of next season.
Juventus teammate Giorgio Chiellini told Italian media this morning that his friend will not leave the club but Chelsea are ready to offer a £115,000-a-week deal to convince the 30-year-old.
