"Club is keen on signing striker" - player insists he wants to play for Chelsea

By

Everton are keen on Chelsea striker Bertrand Traore and are expected to make an offer in the coming days.

The 21-year-old is a target for a number of Premier League clubs including Newcastle United and West Ham United.

Recent reports have claimed that the Hammers are ready to offer £17million to secure his services.

Earlier this month, the player made it clear that his desire is to return to Stamford Bridge to enjoy regular first-team football in Antonio Conte's squad.

"I will go with the national team and after that take some rest," he declared.

"Then I will go back to Chelsea and have a talk – we will see. That's my hope [to be at Chelsea next season].

"That was the key when I came to Ajax – play as much as I could, do well, and try to go back to Chelsea.

"I think I had a great season but I don't decide to stay at Chelsea or move. I will see what my future will be."
