Chelsea attacking midfielder Eden Hazard will be out of action between two and three months according to Italian website Calciomercato.com.
The 26-year-old will have surgery after breaking his right ankle while on international duty with Belgium.
The Belgian Football Association had confirmed on Twitter that he twisted his ankle, suffering a fracture.
He will miss Belgium's friendly match against the Czech Republic and their upcoming World Cup qualifier against Estonia.
The news comes as a blow to manager Antonio Conte since the talented midfielder was the best player for the Blues last season.
Hazard will surely miss pre-season and the beginning of next season that will see Chelsea involved in the Champions League.
