The Sun has confirmed that West Ham United attacking midfielder Manuel Lanzini could leave the Hammers to make a move to Stamford Bridge.
Together with Everton and Arsenal, the Blues have been linked with a possible move to sign the 24-year-old.
Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo is an admirer of the Argentine according to the article with recent reports claiming that a £30million offer will soon be made by the Champions.
Earlier this year the player confessed that he is happy with the club but if an important offer is received the Hammers may decide to negotiate and sell.
"The season was good for me on a personal level, at the beginning it was not great [as I suffered an injury on international duty in pre-season], but then I could achieve a good level," he said earlier this year.
"Dimi [Payet] is a great player, he left and it was not a good news for the squad but luckily at the end I had a very good season.
"For now, I am thinking of the next game then thinking of having good holidays with the family. I am very happy here."
