Chelsea target Marcos Alonso has arrived in London and is having medical right now at the Cobham Training Centre

By

Sky Sports journalist Jim White has revealed that Fiorentina defender Marcos Alonso has arrived at the Cobham Training Centre to take a medical and sign for Chelsea.

White has confirmed the news on his Twitter account a few minutes ago.

The 25-year-old is a versatile player who can play as a left-back but also in a midfield role.

He possesses plenty of experience in the English Premier League having spent three years at Bolton Wanderers and also having enjoyed a loan spell at Sunderland in 2014.

If he passes the medical, he will become manager Antonio Conte's fourth summer signing after Michy Batshuayi, N'Golo Kante and goalkeeper Eduardo.

Reports in England claim that the Blues will pay £23million to finalise the deal with Fiorentina.
