Chelsea have confirmed that midfielder Mario Pasalic has left the club to join Milan on a season-long loan deal.
The 21-year-old is yet to make his senior debut with the Blues and has been loaned out to Elche and Monaco in recent seasons.
He was delighted after the transfer was completed and explained that he can offer a number of versatile solutions in midfield to manager Vincenzo Montella.
"I feel good," he told Milan's official website.
"I am very happy and proud to become part of one of the most important clubs in Europe.
"My features? I am a classic number eight who can play in a number of different positions in midfield.
"We know that last season was not good enough so I want to play regularly because this is a unique opportunity for me.
"I know a lot of players who play in the Italian Serie A, my Under-21 teammates told me that it's very tactical, more focused on the defensive aspect of the game.
"I'm yet to pick my jersey number, I have to see what is available."
