Manager Antonio Conte admits it will not be easy for Chelsea to sign new players before the end of the summer transfer window.
The Blues are still in desperate need of one or two defenders but the Italian believes it will be "very difficult" to find the right players before the end of next week.
Chelsea have failed in their attempts to sign Kalidou Koulibaly and Alessio Romagnoli with recent reports claiming that Marcos Alonso is their newest target to strengthen the defensive department.
"I believe with this market it's very difficult," Conte is quoted as saying by the Daily Star.
"It's very difficult to believe in something. I have some targets, and you understand these targets are very difficult to buy.
"I repeat: this transfer market is very crazy, very difficult to reach the targets for us. But we have a game against Burnley for now which is more important than the transfer market.
"Then, after that, I hope to have some more players than now before the deadline.
"We know Chelsea are a great team.
"Every team must fight until the end for the title. But, also, we know that last season the players were not fifth, or sixth, but tenth. Don't forget this."
