Roma will soon offer attacking midfielder Radja Nainggolan a new contract, director Mauro Baldissoni has confirmed.
The 28-year-old was Roma's best player on the pitch in their 3-0 home defeat against Porto in the Champions League play-off.
He was one of Antonio Conte's main summer targets in the early stages of the summer transfer window but he will stay in Italy.
"We have talked to the player," Baldissoni told Mediaset Premium.
"You all know he was wanted by several clubs, above all Chelsea, and we'd meet up after the transfer window had closed to discuss an adjustment to his terms that reflected the interest on the market.
"The squad is practically complete and we are planning for the future regardless of tonight's result."
Reports in Italy have claimed that the Giallorossi will offer a new three-year contract to the Belgium international.
