Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that the transfer of Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado to Turin could be finalised at the start of next week.
The Colombia international was not in the squad for yesterday's away game against Watford as a clear indication that he will leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
Marotta also confirmed that striker Simone Zaza will be sold by the Bianconeri.
"I hope that over the next few days we can conclude the Cuadrado deal," Marotta told Mediaset Premium.
"For now he is a Chelsea player. We presented a proposal to them and are waiting for a response, but we are optimistic.
"We spoke to Zaza.
"The transfer is not a punishment, but he would undoubtedly find more space elsewhere.
"There was the Wolfsburg idea, but it all fell apart. Over the final 10 days of the transfer window, we've got all the time to find him a new club."
