The agent of striker James Rodriguez has confirmed that Real Madrid are prepared to sell him for £65million, the Evening Standard has revealed.
Chelsea have been linked with the player having failed in their attempts to sign Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku.
Striker Diego Costa is expected to stay at Stamford Bridge but manager Antonio Conte is still determined to add another striker to his offensive department.
Rodriguez scored 76 goals in his club career and on Monday, Conte made it clear that he is still working to strengthen his squad but is waiting for the right opportunity in what he called a "crazy transfer market".
"It's important to have contact every day with the club," he told reporters.
"The market is very crazy, the club know my ideas and it's important to find the right solution to improve this team, not to buy for the sake of it.
"We are waiting for the right solution but I'm very happy to have these players because every day they show me a great attitude. There are two weeks and we'll pay attention, if we find the right solution that's fine."
