General director confirms Chelsea transfer deal will be completed in the next 72 hours

By

Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed that the Bianconeri want to again sign Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado on loan.

The Colombia international did not feature in Chelsea's Premier League opener against West Ham United and is expected to leave the club this month.

Manager Antonio Conte made it clear at the start of the week that he wants the 28-year-old to stay but reports from Italy insist that the player is desperate to make a return to the Serie A.

"We want [Juan] Cuadrado for a number of reasons," Marotta told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"He did well [last season] and his experience was a very positive one.

"The situation will be resolved in the next few days.

"If he will join on loan? I would say yes, we'll see."
