Chelsea have made contact to sign Internazionale striker Mauro Icardi, Calciomercato.com has exclusively revealed.
The future of the 23-year-old remains uncertain after Roberto Mancini was replaced by Frank de Boer earlier this week.
Recent reports have claimed that the Argentinean was in tears after he found out that Mancini was no longer in charge of the team.
Napoli are also interested in the striker and are currently strong favourites to land him if the Nerazzurri decide to sell.
On Wednesday, new Internazionale manager Frank de Boer insisted that he doesn't want to sell one of his best players.
"We will keep the players who we do not want to sell," he told reporters.
"[Mauro] Icardi will remain. He is young, can still learn and we will work very well together.
"I spoke with the owners and everyone wants to bring the club where it deserves to be."
