Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has sent scouts to Rio to monitor the progress of Santos midfielder Thiago Maia, The Sun has revealed.
The 19-year-old was involved in yesterday's 1-1 draw between Brazil and South Africa as he featured alongside Barcelona's Neymar in Brazil's offensive department.
According to the report, he is a main target for the Italian together with Romelu Lukaku and Kalidou Koulibaly.
In May, the player confessed that his dream is to play for Paris Saint-Germain but also that it's too early to leave Santos.
"I have a lot to learn, I want to win trophies and have my picture on the wall before leaving Santos," he was quoted as saying by Samba Foot.
"I need more experience, tricks, more precise in my runs, make more passes, and become more complete. I'm learning from the veterans here, Ricardo Oliveira, Elano, Renato and David Braz.
"[My dream club in Europe?] PSG. I don't know the reason! I'm a friend of Marquinhos, he showed me photos, and the structure is monstrous. I liked his shirt and their uniform."
