Chelsea are reportedly prepared to activate Benfica defender Victor Lindelof's release clause, the Daily Star has reported.
The Blues are ready to pay £25million to active the release clause in the defender's contract.
The player's agent, Fali Ramadani, has already informed Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira that Chelsea will make an offer in the coming days.
The 22-year-old is already in England as Benfica are training at St. George’s Park and reports in Italy have claimed that he will meet with manager Antonio Conte to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical ahead of a possible move to Stamford Bridge.
Lindelof is a versatile defender who can play at the centre of the defence but also as right back.
