Chelsea are looking to follow up the signing of N'Golo Kante with Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi, the Daily Star has revealed.
New manager Antonio Conte has already added a new midfielder and a new striker to this squad and now wants to strengthen his defence department by securing the services of the Germany international.
According to reports in Spain, Valencia need to raise funds quickly and the defender is one of the players available for sale this summer.
Milan are also interested but the player would prefer a destination allowing him to enjoy Champions League football next season.
Conte's main target for the defence remains Juventus centre-back Leonardo Bonucci but coach Massimiliano Allegri has made it clear that the 29-year-old is not for sale.
