Chelsea winger Reece Mitchell has opted not to extend his contract with the club to join Chesterfield.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a very positive campaign with Chelsea's Under-21 squad and was offered a one-year extension but decided to leave Stamford Bridge in order to work under Danny Wilson.
"I had a really good season in the Under-21s season at Chelsea and I was offered another year but I wanted to play some first-team football and get some league experience," he told Chesterfield's official website.

"So when Chesterfield showed interest, I was really happy and was raring to go.
"I couldn't say 'no' to Chesterfield.
"I'm really happy to be here and I'm excited about the challenge.
"I know they're a club pushing for promotion.
"Last season was not the best season, but the season before that, they got to the play-offs and did really well.
"The manager here likes to play young players, has a good philosophy and the upcoming season looks promising."
