Borussia Monchengladbach's director of sport Max Eberl has revealed that the Germans are ready to make a record bid to secure the services of Chelsea's Andreas Christensen.
The 20-year-old spent last season on loan in Germany and was voted player of the season at the end of his first season at the club.
He made only three appearances for Chelsea before leaving and could leave on a permanent basis if the two clubs reach a financial agreement this summer.
"In the case of Christensen we are ready to make a record transfer," Eberl told Bild.
"We know that a player with his quality does not come cheap."
