Chelsea have announced that attacking midfielder Charly Musonda will continue his development in La Liga with his loan to Real Betis extended to cover the 2016/17 season.
The youngster joined the Spanish club during last winter's transfer window and will now spend next season with Gustavo Poyet's side.
Betis director Miguel Torrecilla confirmed last week that their objective was to extend the loan spell of the 19-year-old.
"With Musonda, we are depending on Chelsea's deadlines," Torrecilla explained last week.
"There are a few details left in the new negotiation - it's not simple.
"It is clear that the player has other alternatives and you have to understand that Chelsea fights for players who are world elite."
The agreement has now been confirmed by the Blues on the club's official website.
